Dreamity (Version 1)

Aug 22, 2004 09:01
The ScreenSavers created with this software is excellent... its damn cool... but there's is this one draw back which makes me feel that i should not distribute the screensavers i created using dreamity if i buy! because of the "settings options" which cannot be alter in anyway.... It has tooooooooo many advertisments in the settings!!! wish i can have power over it like the "water Illusion Creator pro" of http://nufsoft.com

hope to hear from u soon.

Absolutely the best screensaver I've ever used. Besides just watching the beautiful colors and shapes, I plan to have hours of fun playing with all the variables. Thanks for sharing this.

I have recently dowloaded the updated version of PSSS. I did have the shareware version of the software before, and by chance went to the website and found out it was FREE!!!! Yay!!!

This is an awesome screensaver application! I can litterally sit there and watch it for hours (especially listening to music such as Enigma, Deep Forest, or Enya) It is my default screensaver on my computer(s) and it will remain to be that way!

P.S. The pool in the \"about\" section has also kept me entertained for hours!!!

Well done - I'm always looking for savers like this. Just installed went WoW, and joined the forum to thank you. Haven't tried all functionality yet but PSS gets an immediate 6 for the immediate head rush. I'm trying to learn java, you say you programmed PSS in Delphi, would this be the language to go for to program savers. I remember an excellent Delphi saver Zone Rings, so back to the Pascal maybe. Love to know more on that side of things as I do geomtry in sketchpad, and want to see things come to life. Anyway 'nuff waffle-great job-thx a lot dude.

I have a registered version, (488) of Particle Systems Screensaver and I keep getting the message that it is unregistered. I have reininstalled several times and still get the same results. I also experience system lockup with the screensaver and wonder why this keeps happening when it does not occur with other screensavers. Please advise as to what I can do to remedy this problem.. Thank you very much..

You have done a great job, ans make sure to keep up the great work.

I would like to ask you through if it would be poissible to have the normal desktop display these particle like they are as a screen saver.
Example:
http://www.superxstudios.com/Products/DesktopDreamscapes/home.htm

I would love to be able to enjoy your particles while also using my system instead of having to just run the scr to view your work.

I wanted to write you before, but you know how things go...
Very nice Andreas! Very very nice, your Particle Systems screensaver. Sometimes, when it pop ups, I just sit down for minutes to let myself be indulged by the magical patterns, splendid colors and ever-changing forms. It can be very mesmerizing!

I did not experiment with the settings yet (like someone else writes: it's a bit daunting) but I guess eventually I will.

Some suggestions:

Thank you very much for your suggestions! Please use the forum or direct email if you want to discuss any PSSS related issues (bug reports, feature requests, questions).

It is quite time intense to answer questions here because the product feedback section is not thought to be an interactive thing and has no interface for discussions.

Thank you for your comprehension

Again, my compliments, and thank you for a product that makes the world more fun to be on...

Paul

Awesome, professional, amazing screensaver. World class.

(You can quote me on that ! :-)

Suggestions:

Think about providing a super-easy interface in addition to the advanced configuration you already have. Your configure dialog may be daunting to many. You could automate plenty of visual variety, and provide a single "Advanced" button for the more computer-literate.

You can also automate render complexity: observe the framerate achieved, and adjust scene complexity to achieve a target framerate.

Andreas,
Words cannot describe your screen saver. It is beyond anything that I have ever seen before. It is truely something special, I dare to say the word, "genius" as the quality that went into its design. What is remarkable is that I have paid several degrees of magnitude more for other lesser screen savers that don't come near Particle Systems in beauty, capacity, originality, and pure inventiveness (?). Particle systems has an infinite degree of variation and diversity that makes it hard to become bored with. Boredom is what I can say about the other screen savers after they have been in use for a brief time. Particle Systems never gets stale - it contains too much variation. I sometimes think it is generating new patterns as it goes - is constantly changing like life itself.

This is one onf many positive private mails I've received during the last 1.5 years.

Usually I do not publish these comments but this email was so exceptional that I've asked Mr. Rosenbaum for his kind permission to publish his mail. Thank you very much!

My name is Jeremy Watts. I have used seen messed with many confusing and hard to handle screensavers in my time and this one you made has no lag. Well Let me take that bag it does if you try to download alot. It will happen no matter what screensaver I use. When not downloading it is so smooth and nice flowing that makes me want to sit and watch it some times. I just was blowed away after getting it from Hotfiles.com. I had to see the website and thats is when I recommend all my friends to see it and thats when my fellow AWD&D members saw the validators and check and was amazed they passed. can't believe the way the blue circle moves. I wish I that there were more objects to do what the blue circle does. Have you ever thought about making logos of cool people like Techtv and make a screensaver shareware. What made you come up with e blue circle???

You can create logos of your own by loading a picture (ex. BMP, JPG) into the logo system.

An short description of "how did I find my logo" is at the bottom of Link... this page

Hello,
I recently purchased the screensaver and I love it. I have one problem. There is no way I can keep the text from defaulting to black. If I chose any color other than black on the page where I chose the font, it will change itself back to black.
Any ideas?
Thanks for a great program.
George Page

I have soem questions about Particle System fuctionality.
1. Why does my program stop displaying waves after 10-15 min? Screen goes dark with no waves. I would like continuous waves 24-7.
2. Why is wave duration funcrion gone when I register the product??

1. This is not caused by the screensaver, it is a feature of windows (power saving). Have a look at the Link... PSSS-FAQ

2. It is not gone :) but it makes only sense if either the text system and the logo system is active.
